Brady Globalmark
make labels, signs and cut vinyl characters
QUESTION:
I've scanned an image and saved it on my computer. I imported
it into MarkWare, and now I am trying to print it on the GlobalMark.
However, it prints as a solid black.
ANSWER:
Most likely the problem is that the sanned image has been
saved as a color image. The MarkWare software can not be used
with color images when printing to a monochrome printer such
as the GlobalMark MonoChrome model.
To print the image it must be converted to a black and white
grey scale image. To do this load the image in a paint program
(such as PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro), and convert it to grey
scale. In PhotoShop you do this by going to the "Image"
Menu and selecting the "Greyscale" option. Then
save the image. Now when it is imported into Markware you
will be able to correctly see the image.
Note: The above does not apply if the printer being used
is a color printer such as the Brady PowerMark, Brady GlobalMark
Color or Brady GlobalMark Color and Cut. You'll also need
to be using version 3.0 or higher of the MarkWare software.
No conversion is necessary and the graphic should appear correctly
on the screen.
