QUESTION:
How is a saved group name deleted from the saved files?
ANSWER:
There is no way to directly delete
a group name from the saved file list. However, the group
name can be removed using Microsoft Active Sync* when the
unit is connected to a PC.
Microsoft ActiveSync is synchronization
software designed for Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs and
Smartphones. It is used to synchronize the information in
a device (such as the GlobalMark) with the settings on a PC.
* Note: Microsoft Active Sync may be downloalded at no charge
from www.microsoft.com.
To do delete a group name install Microsoft Active Sync and
then do the following:
To connect to Active Sync
Setting Up The Connection:
1) Double click Active Sync icon on your desktop. Not
connected will appear.
2) Turn on your Brady GlobalMark
3) On the GlobalMark go into Setup and make sure connection
type matches the type of cable you have, and that purpose
is To transfer files.
4) Touch Okay to go back to the main menu.
5) Now touch On Line. The computer will detect
the USB connection and Active Sync will connect automatically.
To delete a Group Name
1) Once connected in Active Sync select the Mobile Device
icon.
2) From the menu select the Internal folder.
3) In the Internal folder select the Saved Files folder.
IMPORTANT: Make sure no other files, that you might need,
are contained in this folder.
4. Within the Saved Files folder the Group Names will appear
as folders. Select the Group Name folder you want to delete
and then select the delete key on the keyboard.
The group name has now be deleted.
